Our chickens come to us as day old chicks and spend the first couple weeks of their life in our brooder barn. Once feathered out, at about 3-4 weeks, they are moved out to the pasture in “chicken tractors”. The chickens are moved to a fresh piece of grass at least once day and are supplemented with a ration of canola-free, corn-free feed milled directly on our farm using grains we grow ourselves and source locally. These chickens spend almost their entire lives with us in the open air and sunshine and only ever have one bad day.
